The LBA Beginning Beekeeping Course is open to adults and children (age 10 and over) who are interested in learning how to keep bees. The course covers all aspects of beekeeping, such as the equipment you need to start beekeeping, the development of your colony, how to be successful in your first year as a beekeeper, and your responsibilities in subsequent years.
This class meets Saturday mornings from 8 AM - 10 AM, beginning Saturday, February 17, 2024 and continuing through Saturday, March 30, 2024. Tuition includes one-year memberships in Loudoun Beekeepers Association (LBA),access to a mentor during your first year (optional and dependent upon your location to/in Loudoun County, VA), and access to a special 2023 Course section of the LBA website discussion forums. Any members of your household may attend the sessions, but there is only one session per registration.
